📜 Appendix to the Scroll of Esther: The Twelve-Day War

מלחמת שנים־עשר הימים

And it came to pass in those days, when the threats from Tehran grew mighty and the danger drew nigh unto an unbearable threshold, that Israel resolved in her heart: “If I am not for myself, who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, what am I ?

And she rose up in the dead of night, while the world slept, and stretched forth her hand in one great and decisive stroke. And fire went forth from the air, from the depth of the sea, and from the belly of the earth. First she smote the heart of the nuclear installations at Natanz and Fordow and turned them into desolation. She stretched forth her hand also unto the ballistic missile depots in Isfahan and Kerman and shattered them like vessels of clay. She struck the centrifuge halls at Natanz and laid waste to the cyber-fortresses that guarded the dark secrets.

And the stroke was measured as the sword of a scribe, yet fierce as a lion. She smote not the civilians, nor the cities, but the very heart of the weapon forged for death – the arsenal built over many years with blood and oil. And the heavens were filled with sparks of fire, and the earth trembled beneath the feet of the commanders, and the thunder of the explosions was heard even unto the ends of Tehran.

And the adversary saw it and his wrath burned. He sent forth hundreds of missiles and drones in a single night, seeking to kindle new fronts from the north, from the south, and from the east. Smoke rose from Lebanon and from Yemen, and Hezbollah and the Houthis loosed their arrows. But Israel was prepared as a transparent lion. She intercepted almost all that came against her, and returned blow for blow, and struck the launchers before they could fire. And the missiles fell in the desert and in the sea, and reached not the cities.

And the war lasted twelve days only.
One day – to strike.
Two days – to defend.
Three days – to shatter the secret arrays.
And nine more – to prove that the blow had been sufficient.

And at the end of the twelve days it was clear:
Almost all the nuclear facilities built over twenty years were broken.
Weaknesses long hidden behind parades and declarations were exposed.
Ballistic launch capabilities were damaged by twenty-five percent.
And all the world saw that even two thousand kilometres is no impregnable wall.

מלחמת שנים־עשר הימים

And some said: “A decisive victory was wrought upon Iran.
Others said: “Not a final victory, yet the threat was postponed ten years.
And the third said: “It was the hardest and the rightest decision of all.

And Israel returned to her rest, yet kept not her hand from the sword.
And Iran sat in silence, licking her wounds, and knew that the game had changed its face forever.

And it came to pass after those twelve days that the pride of the new Persia was broken like a potter’s vessel. The blow fell upon the heart of the nuclear plan, and the danger was thrust back ten years and more. And the rulers of Tehran trembled in their hidden chambers, and said one to another: “Behold, our weakness hath been revealed before the eyes of all the earth.

And behold, the geopolitical consequences came wave upon wave:

  • The Middle East turned as a magnet. The Sunni kingdoms – Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain – opened their gates to Jerusalem without shame. They cut a covenant of peace and trade, saying: “If Israel could smite Persia with one hand, we need no longer hide behind words.”

  • Russia and China watched from afar and held their peace. And they said in their hearts: “The gold we poured into Iran was as water spilled upon the sand.” And they diminished their aid, and the Iranian arms in Syria and Yemen grew weak.

  • The Iranian people awoke. Small revolutions broke out in Tehran, in Isfahan, in Shiraz. And the young cried out: “No more blood in the name of the Mahdi! Bread and freedom!” And the Ayatollahs felt a fear greater from within than from without.

  • The United States grew strong as the new covenant. And all the nations saw that Israel was not alone.

מלחמת שנים־עשר הימים

And now came the great hour of Donald Trump.

And it came to pass, when Trump beheld the blow that Israel had struck, that he said in his heart: “The time hath come to finish the tale I began in my first year.” And he called unto the Secretary of Defense and the commander of the Fifth Fleet and said: “Prepare me an armada such as mankind hath not seen since the days of the Second World War!

And the order went forth. And two mighty carriers – Gerald R. Ford and Dwight D. Eisenhower – sailed down into the Persian Gulf, and with them eight destroyers, two nuclear submarines, hundreds of combat aircraft, and special forces whose number was not told. And the ships passed the Strait of Hormuz like a roaring lion and stood before the shores of Iran as a living wall.

And Trump spoke in a loud voice upon the great network (Trump Truth), saying:

To the rulers of Iran – the Ayatollah and all his companions!
Ye have seen what Israel did in twelve days.
Now ye shall see what the American Navy will do in twelve hours!
If ye cease not the nuclear enrichment, if ye send not the militias home, if ye begin not to speak of the liberation of the Iranian people – we shall bring down your regime as the Berlin Wall fell!
I am not Obama. I am not Biden. I am Trump. And when I say ‘regime change’ – it is not a threat. It is a promise!

And the world shook. And the Tehran stock exchange fell like autumn leaves. And thousands of Iranians went out into the streets bearing green flags and cried: “Trump! Trump! Freedom!” And the Ayatollah sat in his fortified palace, and his hand trembled upon the red telephone.

מלחמת שנים־עשר הימים

And Trump sent his Secretary of State to Jerusalem and said: “We stand together. Ye are the sword, we are the shield. And this time – we finish the story.

Thus stood the two ancient peoples – Israel and America – side by side, and the mighty armada in the Gulf was a clear sign unto all the earth:
The days of the Ayatollah are numbered.

And the scroll remaineth open still.
And the ink is not yet dry.
