How Conservatism Became the Real Rebellion

Why the Zionist, Sabbath-Keeping Father of Three Is Today’s True Punk

Once upon a time, being conservative was like ordering grilled fish at a fusion restaurant.
Boring. Safe. Predictable.

Today?
Ordering grilled fish is practically a subversive act against tofu wrapped in vegan tahini foam.

Welcome to the new world.

If you believe in a traditional family, values-based education, love of country,
and you think there actually is a difference between men and women –
congratulations.
You are the real rebel now.

The New Revolutionaries Keep Shabbat

While the “new world” demands that you be fluid, flexible, undefined, endlessly adaptable –
the new conservative says:
“No, thank you. I stand.”

I stand for values.
I stand for belonging.
I stand for the idea that not every impulse is an identity,
and not every identity is immune from criticism.

If rebellion once meant growing your hair long,
today it means getting a haircut before Friday night.

The New Conformists Wear Black – Just Not the Haredi Kind

Today’s so-called “enlightened” person is mostly someone who repeats exactly what they were taught to say:
in academia,
in the media,
on television,
at universities,
in government offices,
and especially in high-tech HR departments.

Same words.
Same tone.
Same nervous caution.
Same buzzwords:

“Safe spaces.”
“Gender inclusion.”
“Radical justice.”
“Breaking silence in twenty shades of gray.”

And then – right in the middle of all this –
someone shows up with a tucked-in shirt, talks about Zionism, faith, tradition, personal responsibility –

And suddenly he sounds like an underground anarchist.

Because in a world where everyone swims with the current,
the rebel is the one swimming against it.

When Normal Becomes Provocation

When a 15-year-old boy says:
“I want to marry a woman, have children, and live in Israel” –
the teacher rolls her eyes,
the counselor calls him “too conventional,”
and the education system gently asks:

“Are you sure you’re not repressing something?”

Because today, believing in clear roles, healthy families, national identity –
that’s considered a provocation.

Meanwhile, in the TV Studios…

Collective conspiracies have become ideology.

Loud demonstrations are “free speech,”
but Zionist advocacy is “incitement.”

Pride flags and Palestinian flags fly side by side –
because when you have no ideological backbone,
you simply surrender to whatever emotion is trending this week.

And the conservative?
He keeps quiet.
Builds.
Serves.
Studies.
Gets married.
Pays taxes.

And worst of all –
he believes in something.

So Who’s the Real Rebel Now?

The one who keeps tradition in a storm of “reforms.”
The one who supports governance over judicial chaos.
The one who raises children without telling them that sleeping with everything that moves is “healthy exploration.”
The one who refuses to apologize for being a man, or a woman, or – God forbid – a Jew.

Final Rule of Thumb

If it takes courage to say something simple,
you’re probably not “backward.”

You’re just the last light in a room that went dark from too much “enlightenment.”
