There are moments when you sit in front of the TV, listening to a news panel, and ask yourself a simple question: “Am I watching a journalistic report or an audition to narrate a propaganda film?”
โArab Christiansโ is a historical oxymoron. They are not Arabs – they are descendants of the ancient peoples of the Levant who were conquered, Arabized, and pushed into a corner. Some are starting to realize it. Others still live the illusion.
The rift will not be closed with a speech, nor a reconciliation post, nor a fake hug in the studio.
It will only be closed when one side stops lying or when the other side stops apologizing.
There is such a concept in Israel: “unity.”
It is like summer stew – everyone talks about it, no one is really willing to pay the price for it.
You can always try again. And again. And again.
Yes, because peace – it turns out – is the only product in the world that you pay for in advance, over and over again, even when it doesnโt arrive.
When you hear the word “occupation,” everyone imagines a machine gun, checkpoints, fences, and an army on every corner.
But it turns out that this occupation? It’s less “occupation” and more “VIP customer service” – with an invoice to the Home Front Command.
The Israeli media, like its American counterpart, has long ceased to be concerned with reporting, but with directing. If once the reporter was sent into the field with a notebook, today he goes there with a script, and with a clear goal: “Bring material that will strengthen the message.”
The media today is not just a source of information – it is a national education system, only without supervision.
And it teaches us again and again: Don’t believe in yourself, don’t be proud of the IDF, don’t believe that you can win. That’s not “enlightened”
