If you fell asleep in 1995 and woke up in October 2025, you would be flipping through the news and asking yourself: “What the hell happened to Belgium?!”
A country that for most of the world symbolized chocolate, a beautiful Brussels square, and beer with a perfect foam — has become a battleground between a tired Western culture and an ideology that believes the 7th century is the high-tech of values
October 2025. As the level of anti-Semitism in Europe rises, Britain is experiencing identity attacks, and we are trying to decide whether to invite someone who is considered an “enemy of the public” there or a “friend of the Jews.”
There are certain things in life: the sun rises in the east, traffic jams on the Ayalon Highway, and every September the Israeli Prime Minister comes to New York to speak in front of a hall full of representatives of countries who cluck their tongues and vote for anything that undermines Israel’s existence.
If there was a Nobel Prize for throwing Israel under the wheels, Europe would already win it every year.
Maybe it’s time we stop being surprised: this is not a bug, it’s a function. As long as Europeans are looking for a cheap sense of morality – we will remain their favorite scapegoat.
As always, after the cameras turn off, countries will return to their wars, their economic crises, and their migrant riots. And us? We will stay here, defend our borders, send our sons into battle, and continue to live in the reality they draw on UN maps as if it were a game of chance.
For decades, Sweden was something between a natural pine-paneled rec room and a how-to manual on “how to be a country without causing problems.” But in the last two or three years, something has changed there.
The Europe of late 2025 is a history lesson for us all: an entire continent that sold itself out in the name of empty values. The question is – will we learn from this lesson in time, or will we find ourselves in a decade writing about “Israel 2035 – Outlines for the Image of the Post-Jewish Middle East”?
Europe once had knights, cathedrals, opera, cheese competitions, and wars that were understandable—sort of.
Today it has more mosques than cathedrals, more Ramadan than Christmas, and more consideration for Islam than for the culture that produced Dante, Beethoven, and the Mona Lisa.
The continent that once stood up to empires, crossed oceans and brought Western culture — stands up to nothing today. Not even itself. It chose to give up: identity, borders, national pride, intellectual freedom.
Israel is the opposite of Europe: a young, lively, stressed, cynical, armed, and quite self-confident people. And even if we sometimes think we are crazy — at least we are not committing suicide in the name of tolerance.
Love for Israel is not a Hollywood story. It is not divided into a smooth plot with a sweet ending. It is a different kind of love – one born of commitment, not romance. It involves queues at the health insurance company, curses on the road, rent that reeks of fraud – and yet, it is a deeper, more burning love, the kind that leads people to fly here precisely when the sky is thundering.
