In Praise of Israeli Directness
Israeli directness is not perfect, it is not always pleasant and sometimes it sounds like a fight even when it is not.
But it has one advantage that many things do not have: it is genuine.
So is European culture terminally ill? Probably not.
But it certainly sometimes looks like a person who comes to the doctor with a long list of symptoms: identity confusion, political fatigue, and a little too much ideology on an empty stomach.
Truly open education – begins with identity, roots and pride
A student without identity, without roots, and without a sense of mission is only a consumer of knowledge, not a creator of the future.
Academia doesn’t have to be right-wing, it doesn’t have to be Zionist either.. but it does have to be brave.
Because the moment it stops asking questions, it stops being relevant.
