So what has changed since the last election?
The slogans have changed… the faces have changed… the promises have been rebranded.
The Israeli muscle developer is a pretty beautiful story – a little funny, a little exaggerated, sometimes full of protein powder on the counter – but beautiful.
This is a people trying to be strong, not just on the outside.
Because here, between the alarm and the traffic jam, between the cost of living and the reserve, you learn very quickly that resilience is not a luxury – it is a profession.
Almost every Israeli reform looks the same.
Same new slogan, same commentators, same protests, same panel with the same person saying “I just want to finish a trial.”
We love this country, because it is ours.
With all the mess, the congestion, the luxury and the madness… and maybe that’s why.
The public is the sovereign, the king, the final arbiter – and also the one who will regret it in three months.
He is cynical but naive, nervous but indifferent, and most importantly – he is never at fault.
The Iranian nuclear program got a bomb in the face. Or three. Maybe something from space too.
And suddenly we, the Israelis, found ourselves facing a difficult question: Now that there is no more Iranian nuclear program (temporarily, yes?), what do we do with all the fears, obsessions, and movies we saw last night about an atom bomb in Tehran?
